Online Art Dealer Opens New Gallery in Edinburgh

After six years running his Heart Fine Art business on the web, art dealer Paul Robertson is putting his collection on display in a new Edinburgh gallery.

“I really think it is a sin to have a collection sitting in boxes that nobody ever sees, these works were made for display, for human communication. To be sitting wrapped up neatly for me to make a profit on them is wrong” said Robertson.

With clients worldwide, Robertson has clocked up thousands of miles hunting down specific pieces - and has ended up with a unique collection of work by George Maciunas, Yoko Ono and Dieter Roth, amonst others.

The current exhibition, at his new gallery in Waterloo Place, will run until February 5th and is based on Fluxus - an art movement of the 1960s in America and Europe.

Another fascinating piece from The Scotsman newspaper - do take the time to read it.
